At this very moment, Nintendo is holding an invite-only roundtable session that includes, among others, Shigeru Miyamoto. For those following at home, this same session at last year's E3 was where Miyamoto unveiled the first piece of artwork from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Word on the E3 streets indicates that we may see another Zelda unveiling at the roundtable this evening, in the form of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for Nintendo 3DS.
Is this true? Is it complete B.S.? Nobody knows except those that are in the roundtable right now. We'll find out as soon as we can!
I also wonder if this is going to be some special series they start releasing (ala "New Play Control') didn't one of the press releases earlyer today mention a 3d Starfox 64?That would be acceptable only if the 3DS had some compelling new software to go with it, which, right now, it doesn't. The original DS launched with an N64 game and it was pretty lame, it's too bad the 3DS seems to be following the trend (which actually started with the Game Boy Color).
And why 64 games? it seems the 3DS is capable of doing things more powerful then that.Because Nintendo 64 games are easier to remake, party due to having the same resolution as the 3DS. Plus, getting that graphical overhaul is something that may entice the people who have already played (and might own on VC) the originals. GameCube games would look the same, and they are also more recent, and even playable on Wii. Also, as far as I know, we don't yet know the size of the 3DS cartridges, so they may not be large enough for disc games.
