Title: Which season of Spongebob was the best?

Seeing Maxi's Simpsons topic got me thinking about god ol Spongebob.
Now maybe it seemed to childish for most but it was pretty well written years ago. Especially seasons 1-3. I believe it was by season 4 Tom Kenny started changing his voice up and the writting serously started to slip.
The characters and their actions seemed so genuin in the first few seasons. I feel like back then, thats how these characters would act if they were in their own world doing their own things. Now it just feels like they are reading a script and being told what to do and say. Same thing goes for the simpsons. It seems to be "how can we make Homer and Patrick say this?" rather than what would Homer and Patrick say in this situation. Putting this quote in the simpsons thread.

I wouldn't know Spongebob by seasons, but maybe most of us would know which episodes we liked the best.
I know all my favorite episodes come from Spongebob's earlier years though since I haven't watched it much in the last few.

I really can't understand why people like this show. It's loud, obnoxious, and annoying.

Maybe that's it. I usually like shows that are more focused. Though admittedly I hardly watch anything.
