The sequel will focus a lot more on the game's art and story, two aspects criticized by many in the first title. Another much-maligned aspect of the original was its lack of local multiplayer; in response, The Conduit 2 will feature split-screen multiplayer for up to four players. Other multiplayer modes confirmed include a co-op Invasion mode for up to four players, online and off.
The online modes and features seen in the first Conduit game will return in the sequel, like WiiSpeak support, Bounty Hunter mode and several other modes. There will also see different classes with unique skills. Suits can also be upgraded, such like robotic legs that will let players sprint farther.
The Conduit 2 will take place in Atlantis. Other locations that the sequel will feature include Siberia, Washington and Agartha. It is also said to feature new weapons like the Vortex Canon and the Phase Rifle. Up to seven new weapons will be featured in the sequel. Some old weapons will also be returning, and some of them will even receive a facelift.
No release dates were given at the moment.

Some old weapons will also be returning, and some of them will even receive a facelift.I hope they have the Carbonizer Mk16 again, some of the weapons I think were one of the highlights of the game. And I havn't had as much fun with a pistol since the original Halo, please don't gimp it like Bungie did.
Those were the main elements that made The Conduit feel like a very pretty N64 shooter.Except it was nowhere near as good as Nintendo 64 shooters.
Story and art are important and definitely need the attention, but I hope they also focus on level design, enemy A.I., and overall pacing.
So if the story, art, level design, enemy A.I. and overall pacing all need work then what the hell does the first game have going for it?

So basically if they redesign everything from the first game they'll be fine. ;)
