SIGN-UP DEADLINE
Best get the sign-ups rolling for now. Sign-ups will close Sunday Feb. 7 at 3:00 EST.
POLL DETAILS
One thing I was thinking about doing with this game is having all days end at 10:00 AM EST with night actions due half an hour after and the next day starting at 11:00 AM EST. The reason for that is because it seems to be the time of greatest overlap for all our players worldwide. In an effort to keep the advantage fair for all players and allow them a chance to be around before the voting ends to make a play.
That said, we'll take a vote on it. I'll make a poll and when sign-ups close, we'll see what the winning side is.
As for rules, story, roles, all that is to come soon enough. I just wanted to get the word out on the game and get it rolling.

I'm in. I haven't played any of the Phoenix Wright games so I am loss of what character to pick. Also someone should get Kairon to play. If I am not mistaken Kairon's Avatar is from Phoenix Wright.

In the Poll I think that the Yes option was at the top and the No option was at the bottom. Now they switched places.

I'll keep my eye on it to make sure there is no mod influence. I also voted myself so I will know if the position changes. That said, when I made the poll, I thought the yes was on top myself since I put it in option one but I couldn't remember and didn't think anything of it until now.

Don't look at me. I didn't do anything. There's no record of any meddling in the moderation log, but I don't think that sort of stuff is tracked. Of course, I can't think of any other mod who might care besides me. ;)

Why he reminds me of you is as follows (from the Ace Attorney wiki): "Meekins is a clumsy, excitable and overzealous individual." and "He's pretty annoying, but also lovable" and if I remember correctly he's also really polite. I dunno just reminds me of you.

I was on the fence about joining this game but as I write this I'm waiting to hear if id be picked to be part of the jury of some criminal case and to be honest, I don't want to picture a courtroom setting for a LONG time after today.

You know, I run an AA-based Mafia forum community (and game series), so I'm very interested in this... but as much as I would love to join, my schedule is filled up. I'll content myself to watch; I'm eager to see what you do with the AA concept!

It will be Saturday when I do that. With a smaller turnout, I don't think I'm going to do anything special so I doubt there are going to be any questions. Instead, my focus will probably turn to the story more.

Casual player burnout. It's the same reason the sequels for Deca Sports, ExciteTruck, Boom Blox, etc. didn't sell as well as the first games in the series. Not enough to differentiate them.

Correct--but I'm not a casual player. I don't mind playing the same game over and over again, because each one has its own nuances and the unpredictability of other players keeps the game interesting for me. But I can see how one could potentially get bored after 40-odd games.

Yeah, I was also wondering why the turnouts have been getting smaller. Perhaps people will start to miss the game and return? Maybe you should call it ExciteMafia Party Bash, that should get people interested.
