I'm sure the number has more significance than that. Likely something that has happened that involves that number. Like getting turned down 192 times or the number of seconds it took her to finish her favorite track in Mario Kart.

i remember back in the ezboards days there were way more pople who posted on a regular basis, which is really because if your a memember of one easyboard forum your a member of like every ezboard forum.

Well, I've just noticed that whenever I see that number, something good usually happens. Because the number is seemingly random, it doesn't show up in very many places. That's why I think it is kind of strange that 7 is considered lucky for some people because that number is common and shows up everywhere.

I went with 117. Though I think you should lower the post count limit. One of the first things I do when I see a person I'm not familiar with is I check their stats. I see where they like to post, how much and how often they post along with when they first joined the forums. Then I know if I am dealing with a new member or an old veteran crawling out of retirement. It also gives me a possible idea of how likely they will respond again.
I have noticed that a number of people have surprisingly low total post counts for the amount of time they have been here.
Yes, there is Rbtr, but also Yoshi1001 (who has been here over a year with only 68 posts because he mostly just contributes to the podcast discussions). There are a number of others as well.

Bnm and insano both make good points:
Podcast discussions and talkback threads don't count much because some people treat them like a comments section on a blog; one post but no discussion.
Because we don't get news as recent as most sites, talkback-only posters don't get to post often :P
Also, only posting in one particular section of the forum means you're inactive from the rest of them. I try to get around to as many of the forums sections as possible., that makes me a pretty active poster.

She changed her name to Ssecnip Eht which is Princess backwards. She still logs time online. It's just that others log more time on than her. At least last I checked she still actively viewed the site. But I stopped checking her profile shortly after she fell off the top 10 online list.

I said 97; however, if we are counting lurkers who simply posted 100 posts over the years and not ones who are actively posting nowadays... it could be far greater, especially since I would wager things like the Wii Sales thread is pretty ripe for lurker watching.

I'm really surprised by how many people think our forums are smaller than they are--almost two-thirds of you guessed a lower number than the actual one!
Personally, I would have guessed between 200 and 300, so I was way over.

You have a small group of about 20 people that do the majority of the posting, so it feels small. But I'm sure there's a bunch of lurkers too, and people that only check in now and again.
