Darth Vader, in a foul mood, is randomly patrolling the halls of the Death Star when a generic stormtrooper runs up to him.
"Lord Vader, sir! We've just received word that certain members of the Rebel Alliance have infiltrated the Death Star!"
"What's this?!" shouts Vader in surprise, irate and already considering using Force Choke on the unfortunate messenger.
"Sir, the rebels have somehow gained access to stormtrooper uniforms, and are masquerading as... well, as US! As stormtroopers, sir! I'm sure they must be gathering intelligence or attempting to sabotage something. Those rebel scum are always up to no good..."
"This cannot be allowed to continue. We will pluck them from our midst like puny stupid ants, and squash them! Assemble a team, and get to work weeding them out!" shouts Vader, who then turns with a swirl of his cape and strides away...
Welcome to Mafia XXXIX: Star Wars REBEL Mafia. I hope you're ready for a change of morality this time, because the townies are actually the Empire, and the mafia members are the Rebels! Yes, this game will play out like a normal game of mafia, but the mafia are the "good guys" this time. It's purely a superficial change, but should be interesting. Other than the flipped moral compass, this game will play out like a normal game, and will actually be a fairly bare-bones mafia.
Grand Moff Tarkin (sheriff) can use his resources as commander of the Death Star to investigate one player every night.
Darth Vader (vigilante) can take out one player each night. However, he dies if he takes out two "innocents" (so, he can make a mistake and live... but only once!).
Stormtroopers (townies) can use their power to vote out players they suspect of being Rebel scum!
Luke Skywalker (godfather) can "hit" one player each night for the mafia. If he is voted out or hit, power goes to Han Solo, then Leia, and so on. HOWEVER, if this happens, the mafia loses their hit that night.
Han Solo, Princess Leia, Obi-wan Kenobi, etc. (mafia goons) have no special powers unless they become the godfather, at which point they will control the hit.
note: I will balance the mafia numbers based on game attendance

Boba Fett (killer) has also crept aboard the Death Star and simply wants to kill everyone. Can make one hit per day.
As usual, townies win once all mafia and the killer are dead. The mafia wins once the killer is dead and the number of townies is equal or less than that of the mafia. Boba Fett wins if everyone else is dead.
In case you're on the fence, it's PRIZE MAFIA! Meaning, I will gift one member from the winning team, decided by a vote at the end, a virtual console game (up to $10USD) of his/her choice.
Ok! Sign-ups begin now and will run through Sunday, November 8th, at 7pm CST. Roles will go out that night, and the game will begin the next day (Monday morning).

Maybe if the light saber was more red, just maybe. Blue, green, and purple also work, but I don't remember any orange ones. Not a bad idea, though.

Nice! And I don't even mind the orange light saber.
My aim with this game is simplicity, simplicity, simplicity. I'll give more rule clarifications once the official thread is posted. But hopefully we won't need too many clarifications, considering there aren't many roles in this game at all. Actually, I toyed with the idea of not giving any roles at all... just a bunch of townies and a mafia... but the idea of Darth Vader as a sort of bumbling vigilante was too tempting. :P Luckily for all of you, I refrained from adding JarJar Binks (would've been the village idiot)...
You know, thinking about this further, if any new players are reading this and on the fence about whether to sign up or not, this is probably a really good game to jump in on because of its simplicity. So, I encourage you to sign up even if you haven't played before! :)

I'm not very good with MS Paint but I'll see what I can do.
Don't worry about it. Orange is a lightsaber colour, maybe not in the movies, but definitely in the games.
Also I'd be willing to make some other Mario Baseball/Starwars avatars if people want them. I'll still be rocking Fry, but people are welcome to have some. I'll make some now, if you want them take them.
most of the other character art doesn't really suit the characters holding "lightsabers". they've all got gloves and balls and stuff.

Hey Dasmos can you make an avatar of Maxi. Something along the lines of 2 lightsabers that are attached to the chains or just having the nunchuck and having the lightsaber at the end of the handle.

they're both pretty small because Maxi art isn't nice a compact like Nintendo art. i did the double-sided one because he was holding both ends of the nunchaku, but you can hardly tell.

I appreciate the effort but when I try to change my avatar I keep getting a message about being to large or that it isn't an avatar. I entered both perfectly but I keep getting an error message.

I don't have the program to fix it at the moment, but I'm sure several people on the forums not only have the program, but are willing to use it to fix that avatar. I seem to recall Vudu making this offer a while back during the DK mafia when we had a number of off-colored-background avatars.

You should sign up as ET, BnM. ET was very fond of a kid in a Yoda costume and a delegation of ET's species was in the Senate in the prequel movies so I think ET is a legitimate character.

It's very, very rare for a woman to be color-blind. Looks like you might be, though. Seriously. Seeing some colors that aren't brown as brown is a symptom. For me, it's some shades of green and red. I don't remember the type where some shades of purple appear that way, but I took the image and zoomed way, way in, and it's absolutely definitely purple.
Might want to take a good, solid color-blindness test that checks for all the options. I think the R-G kind I have is the one that's the most common, if I recall correctly, and it could be that RG is the one that has a very low chance of naturally occurring in women. Still, if you see red-brown there, something isn't right, and since you're a girl, you might have dismissed the chance that you're color-blind because the false myth is that women can't be color-blind, while the truth is they can.
Anyways, I'm not a doctor. I just know you're seeing certain shades of colors off from what they are, particularly with a brown-ish tint, and from my personal experience, that's a symptom of color-blindness, so I thought I'd mention it.

Uh, thanks for looking out for me, I guess, but, it could be my monitor. It is old and the colour is a little messed up.
I checked the colour of both images and the sabre is different. The one in the image I posted is red 177, green 32, and blue 234. The one in the image that Dasmos posted is red 153, green 0, and blue 102. So, the two are very different, even if you can't see it.
Yeah, as thatguy said. You're probably colour blind, that colour is in no way brown. I changed it anyway.
I never said it looked brown, I said reddish-brown, but that was probably a misuse of words. The closest match to that colour I could find on the Internet is this:

Even that looks a bit different though.
