Namco Bandai has announced some new details regarding their upcoming Taiko Drum Master sequel, Taiko Drum Master Wii: Dodon to Ni-Dai-Me. The sequel, will feature the song, "Overture IX" from Square-Enix's Dragon Quest IX. When playing the song, players will be able to see the Slimes and other characters from the Dragon Quest series dance across the screen. In addition to the Dragon Quest cameo, the sequel will also feature chibi versions of characters from The  Idolm@ster series, and the song "Hello!!"  from  The Idolm@ster: Dearly Stars . As in other Taiko Drum Master games there will also be songs from various anime series, including Naruto Shippuuden, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and Dragon Ball.

There will also be a new Boss Battle mode. While the gameplay remains the same, the boss will try and block the upcoming notes. There will also be bomb notes that, when hit, will cause damage to your character.

Taiko Drum Master Wii: Dodon to Ni-Dai-Me will be available on November 19 in Japan as a standalone game for ¥5,040 (about $55 USD) or bundled with a taiko drum controller for ¥7,980 (about $87 USD). You will also be able to purchase additional taiko drum controllers for  ¥ 3990 (about $44 USD) each.

Anyone else kind of want to see a new Donkey Konga on Wii with downloadable bonus tracks, Mii integration, and maybe even online play. ANYONE?

Nope but the first one allowed you to play with a Wii Remote or Classic Controller.
