Title: Naruto Shippuden
Post by: ThePerm on September 14, 2009, 01:21:18 AM
I've taken a break from Naruto(Shippuden) for like 4-6 seasons, which has allowed me to catch up without getting that annoying "i have to wait" feeling. Could anyone enlighten me as which episodes are the fillers. I watched 1-19..took a break for over a year, then i caught back up and watched 20-56
i knew 57-71 were fillers and then I watched 72-89. Now im not sure where the rest of the fillers are thanks to sketchy information.

I can not answer your question. But I can answer the question you think you dont want to ask. Read the manga man! Decent translations here, decent, not the greatest. www.onemanga.com

Oh yeah the other question you didn't ask. Yes, you should read and/or watch One Piece.

I did read the manga for a while, but its one of those cases ,where I'd rather see it in motion. On the other hand I don't want to watch pointless filler. Nothing ever happens in the filler, the main characters become exceptionally weak and it doesnt make sense, or even fit the rationale of a series. When I jumped from 56-72 it was as if nothing happened. Naruto was still training outside of town trying to figure out his new jutsu. Otherwise I would have had to watch pointless crap about zombies and stuff. If I want Zombies i'll read Walking Dead.

The problem with the recent filler is that some of the story get dragged out (one issue turns in to like 5 episodes) and stuff happens out of order.  It actually gets pretty confusing.  The best I can say is that anything involving Akatsuki or a tailed beast is probably not filler.

This is why anime serious should only be 2 seasons maximum, with obligatory DVD bonus hentai episodes.

You can restart watching at 112, or 113.

112 is where they leave the area where they were in the filler, but the last minutes of the episodes is not filler because it has the 2 Akatsuki members finishing off what they (naruto and the gang) couldn't in the filler.

113 is where it starts to get good.

Do not skip 119-120, two episode special: Kakashi Gaiden. It's short, but awesome because it involves kakashi as a kid.

Feel free to bump the manga thread.  It'll be nice to have a 4th(?) person in the convo.

I like the series, and while there are a little filler, its not really much and its still really fun to watch.
