Rules:

1. Keep the lights off

2. Keep noise levelsat a minimum

3. Keep the drinks coming

4 Be considerate, keep your bare ass off the cot in the back. Its not their for fucking, its to sleep on when we run out of space on the floor.

Now SHHHHHH

I woke up hungover on Thursday and it morphed into swine flu by Friday. :/

I was hung over yesterday....

two 1.5 shots of Casadores
6-8 double shots of Casadores
then 2 Vosey on the rocks later at the bar
all on an empty stomach.

Something I learned though.
If you feel like your gonna puke, suck on a lemon. The lemon juice settled my stomach & I felt much better.
I also learned that keeping asprin in the house would be a great idea. I had a 18 splitting headache & no way to get rid of it. :(

God don't even scare me like that RAB, I've been dreading swine flu for so long. 2 people at work contracted it awhile back.

I don't even remember how much I drank but I'm sure if I was able to sleep in I woulda felt so much better. As it is I got home at 7 and woke up by 9 to road trip upstate to visit family. Thankfully I didn't have to drive so I napped a bit in the car.

Had asperin for breakfast,yum

Drank some moonshine for the first time last night...

It was bad idea to begin with, but it became an even worse idea when we started lighting it on fire...

Ugh....I'm going back to bed.

Was there any reason to bring this **** in here? No one here advocated drinking too much or called it cool so theres no need to bring a sarcastic attitude into the thread.

If anything this thread is a casual warning against getting shitfaced, and a place where we can tell our horror stories. Sure we'll laugh about them amongst ourselves but anyone who hasn't been in our positions can clearly see the negative side of drinking and be deterred from letting it happen to them.

Heres my story from last night, now that i have (enough) energy to tell it. We were out celebrating my girlfriends 23rd birthday at this club in the East Village. My brother was wasted by the time we got there so it felt like we were playing catchup with him, but thats a stupid game to play because we NEVER catch up to him. Especially when the bartender is giving him free shots cuz she recognized him from a few years back when he was a regular at this club after turning 21 (and hooking up with her lol).

The thing is, my brother gets RETARDED drunk and has no self control. As much as i try to keep him in check, its just impossible to be there all of the time. He's the kinda drunk asshole that starts taking peoples drinks the second they set em down, or beer bottles outta friends hands and swigging. He's also incredibly innapropriate with his actions; constantly making out with people or grabbing body parts.. but all his friends are crazy (and drunk) so they just roll with it thinking its all in fun.

Whats not fun is when he starts doing this **** to people that aren't in his circle of friends. Like the girl that chased him into the bathroom and tried kicking him while he was taking a piss and i hold to hold back cuz he was about to kick her right back. Turns out he grabbed her crotch and she was obviously upset about it. The bouncers come by because they see the commotion and start putting their hands on him so i almost get into a fight with the two of them because I didn't like the way they were trying to grab a hold of my brother. I told them i'd take him outside and that was it, party was over.

The next hour or so was spent trying to get him to walk in a straight line to the subway where he happened to run into two friends that were messing with him for being drunk. My brothers the type of drunk that doesn't like being called a drunk.. so he starts trying to kick them but i was holding him back already. They kept egging him on, because they were drunk or stoned, and wanted to fight me when i asked them to back the **** off cuz i wasnt in the mood to deal with any more ****. Eventually the train comes, he's being loud and obnoxious. We get to the Bronx where I parked my car and i have to drive my friend Jazz back to her town which is like half an hour outta the way, then back to my town where i got 3 hours of sleep before having to do family stuff.

i woke up with pretty much my first ever hangover, and tired muscles in my arms from constraining my older brother all that time. I wake up to find my brother drunk AGAIN cuz he got into some wine bottle our mother had left out. He woke everyone up by blasting loud Ecuadorian music and trying to get everyone to dance.. this was about 8am appearantly.

So yeah.. don't drink kids. It sucks :P

Nope.  Though I've had my fair share of them, I don't drink that much either.  I love the taste of beer and have a few here and there, but I don't really enjoy the feeling of being totally owned by them.  Me likes to be in control.

I don't drink very much either, just at social get-togethers like cookouts and parties. And even then it's a mixed drink (love strawberry daiquiris), I never have shots or anything like that. I have NEVER been hungover because that's stupid and I'd never do that to myself.

I drink but I don't get drunk, partially because it's a dumb thing to do and has very unpleasant effects, but mostly because it's really expensive.

^this. You think I like feeling this way? I went out with coworkers for a sort of bachelorette party for our boss (though she's technically married already) and people kept buying me drinks. Yeah yeah I can say no but when you're in that situation its kinda hard to, down right rude too when the drinks all paid for.

Besides, this is probably my first real hang over since last time I was just exhausted from dancing all night, babysitting my wasted brother and getting 2 hours sleep. Last night I admittedly drank too much, had some nasty greasy pizza that didn't sit well with my stomach and puked in the street. But ya know what, at least I'm responsible enough not to do something really stupid and drive in that condition or act retarded like my brother when he goes overboard and starts falling over himself, or doing things to get himself arrested.

Besides, even if I didn't drink last night working 12hrs and staying out till 8am the next day, id feel pretty much the same as I did when I made my last post, minus throwing up. All nighters SUCK.

Oh and Mop_it_up, when did animal crossing count as a social get together worthy of getting tipsy for?

If you're referring to the night of July 4th, I had just gotten home from a party.

No but you did choose to drink too much so I don't feel sorry for you.

Actually the only real mistake that was made was not drinking enough water before going to sleep.
Most of a hangover is being dehydrated, another part is still being intoxicated.

So if you want to learn something, drink plenty of water(a water bottle full ) before going to sleep & stop drinking with enough time before going to sleep to wake up not intoxicated.

Drunk Driving is baaad. Mmmkay. [/Mr. Mackey]

As long as you don't drive, or put your self in a situation where you need to be responsible, getting drunk can be quite theraputic.  Its also bonds people together.  I spent many years partying and many years as a religious fundy.  The friendships I made while partying were far more real and close than the akward friendships with other religious fundies.  This is not always true of course, but just one example of why drinking can be a good thing.  Just have to be smart.  Plus, beer and whine make every meal better.  Even breakfast (if you're in Belgium).

You could just as easily make the argument that driving a car is "stupid" b/c so many people die each other.  Just have to be careful.

Well you did make this thread so that's what it seemed like.
I don't look down on people who drink a lot just because I don't do it myself, I'm sorry if it seems that way. All I was saying is, drinking is a choice. If someone drinks too much and gets sick or hungover or whatever then I don't sympathize.

After the long week i had last week, especially the stressfull day i had that same friday (almost got into a fight with a contractor at work.. lol we made up though).. you have no idea how true I find this statement. Especially how it brings people closer together. There's a girl from work that showed up that I was never introduced to when she started working here about a MONTH ago, and it's always been awkward because after such a long period of time working with someone, its just odd to go "by the way my names Mike".. which i did, but things were still awkward and we barely talked..

Yet that friday night I happened to catch her in a corner crying and gave her a shoulder to cry on until one of the other girls from work came by and rescued her (or rather rescued me from being puked on). Came in to work this morning and got a sincere smile, "thank you" and "good morning" from her. Awesomeness.

I made this thread for fun. Thats why its in the funhouse :P I don't need or want anyones sympathy and, like you, I don't sypathize for people who make stupid choices. I think I might've mentioned it on the forums once or twice, but I definately don't sympathize for people who make stupid decisions that lead to their own death.. call me a jerk or a monster but thats just how I am.
You wanna get drunk and get behind the wheel, turn your car over and break your families heart? Wanna mess around with drugs and get yourself in with the wrong people that end up shooting you while you get your haircut on christmas eve? Wanna act cool by taking daddy's expensive sports car out for a spin and go double the speed limit and lose control? I will not shed a tear for you.*

These are NOT fictional scenarios..

On a lighter note, by far one of the weirdest stories from that night:

I walk in to the busy bathroom to do my business when this guy that came in right after me shouts "hey bro, no homo but i gotta see your dick". Uhm, what?

I'm not as witty as I normally am when drunk, so instead i said "what the ****? Hey guys you hear this one? he said "no homo" and wants to see our dicks. How is that anything BUT homo?" and just laughed it off and made sure to cover everything up.

I'll always cherish the moment i saw my student teacher from high school senior English the following year at a college kegger and he poured me one.
