Title: How i appreciate the NWR Mods now...
Post by: Plugabugz on August 02, 2009, 06:30:21 PM
I'm a mod on another site. Someone posted a thread with names, pictures and personally-identifiable body parts in the thread. I went and edited the thread and closed it. If i was admin i'd have BANHAMMERS! Pale style with no warning.

If that was here that'd be the norm right? Ban hammers, destruction and fluffy kittens? Not quite.

I then get verbally assaulted for apparently going over the admin's decision. The admin then sees the light and agrees with my hard line stance much later on saying "i allowed it for fun". Then the members resume assaulting me for making a decision. Apparently this is 'acceptable'!

GRR.

So yes. A little bit of a thank you for having standards.

Wait, were the users posting pics of other users without permission or were people willingly sharing their identity?

Without permission!

Ouch. That is not cool. One nice thing here is that the admin supports the mod's decisions.

Too much hate there. They need to chill.

I feel like this is a good general guide on how to moderate/administrate forums:
