Title: Job Application Problems
Post by: jrlibrarian on July 08, 2009, 11:05:00 PM
Hello,

I tried to send a job application to jobs at nintendoworldreport.com as Jon told me to, but I got a response that my message was rejected. Can any of the staff tell me if this is an error that is being worked on, or if it is just my email.

Thank you.

You realize that they don't pay you right?

there is no money to be made here....

Why would I care about getting paid?

At least I can properly capitalize my forum posts.

Looks like Lindy got the address wrong.  It should be "nwrjobs" not "jobs."

Quantity does not necessary equal quality.  Just sayin'.  ;)

My bad.  Yes, we received your application and are in the process of looking it over.  Thanks!

Jumping on Jrlibrarions' bandwagon, I decided to send in an application myself.

And if jrlibrarian gets hired, he's already off to a great start with the forum regulars!

If he became staff, he probably wouldn't post in the forum anyway(no different than now), so I'm sure he doesn't really care.

It is kind of odd how people who become staff slow down or stop posting in the forums. Pure chance? Too busy working for Lindy? Secret Staff Code forbids more than 3 posts a week? Who knows!

Wow BlackNMild2k1, what is your problem? I've been posting at least 2 times every day since the first of my forum threads a week ago.

You tend to lose the motivation to comment in the forums because most topics are discussed at length amongst the staff. Also, writing often makes it less desirable to come in here and write some more.

These days I'll read in the forums far more than I'll post for those reasons. I still value what people here have to say and I still find the discussions interesting and worthwhile even though I may not be participating. I'd say most (if not all) of the staff members born from the forums feel the same way.

I'm not attacking you, just stating that you don't post all that much now and going by the track record of previous transitions (posters who were all over the forums before becoming staff), you would most likely stop posting(in the common forum area) at all for long periods of time.

Maybe he should get the job. His posts make my head hurt and I wouldn't mind never seeing him post again.

Hey applicants, the hiring train kinda got off the track but I haven't lost your applications or anything.  Things have been hectic behind the scenes, but I will get back to you at some point in the next few weeks.

Applicants?

shouldn't it be applicant(s)? :D

Just kidding, but I haven't seen you guys advertise for hiring for a long time now. I just thought Jr. was lookin for a spot out of the blue(which is why we(mostly me) kinda joked with him a little), didn't know you were actually looking to hire someone else

If you look about 10 posts up, Patchkid15 also applied.

Thanks Jon for getting back to us.
