Gotta love these dun-know-whats-backwards directional mind-**** platforming.  The next things I want to know are how the analog controls feel and what kind of acrobatics is this ugly character capable of.

Definitely more exciting than some remake.

Wow that is pretty sweet. Nice implementation of that mechanic Majesco. I'm gonna be happy to play this.

It is a nice idea. Looking to see some impressions of this game from E3 from the staff.Where is Kairon? This is a Majesco game.

Looks decent but not great, but it's a platformer, beggars can't be choosers.

I really like the mechanic, but that's about it. Everything else is devoid of character.

Looks like it takes a lot of inspiration from Galaxy which can only be a good thing. The main character models looks like **** though.

I would buy it if it were available between $30(CAD) and $40(CAD).

Tommy Telarico is going to be doing the music.

Oh darn.

Wow I guess I forgot about this topic.

In any case this came out today.

NWR had a development diary. Here is the link.

I hate to be cynical, but after reading some of the diary, it sounds like a case where the publisher has stripped away some of the appeal of this game by trying to have "something that sells." Not only do I think the original character sketch has more charm, but the game's tentative title, "up & dn" is the kind of title that I'd be more inclined to take a chance on. "Flip's Twisted World" sounds like shovelware.

As a result, I probably won't buy this game unless I find it on sale.

Your logic doesn't make sense. Because the title sounds like shovelware, you're just dismissing it as bargain bin fodder? I haven't played the game since E3 09 (where it was dreadful), but everything in the developer diary is showing me that this should be a quality/interesting title that is going to be $30 at launch.

That's like saying Kirby's Epic Yarn sounds like shovelware, but it's a Nintendo game, so no one will give it any ****.

All I was saying is that's it's clear the art direction has suffered due to the publisher's dictation. The vibe I got from the diary is that the guy was not happy about the changes he needed to make, but he wasn't about to publicly criticize his publisher. It now looks generic. I'm not saying it is, I'm saying what it looks to be. Since that is the case, who knows what else was compromised.

I'd have never given the game any thought if not for the diary, so it at least went from "never heard of" to "will buy eventually."

According to this review, the game is broken, quite frankly, despite how beautiful it is.

Watching this video, the camera system looks terrible too, despite how much work they said they put into it in the developer's journal. The 3D Mario games have shown that the camera doesn't need to respond to every single action the player does.

It's disappointing that a game with such a creative concept turned out so seemingly poor. The developer seemed so passionate about it in the journal, I wonder where everything went wrong. I haven't heard anything about this game since its release, and that's the first review I've seen online, so this game must've sold poorly meaning there's no possible hope for any kind of sequel that gets it right. I'm still going to pick it up on the cheap at some point, because I have to see the game for myself.
