Telltale Games' Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive people has seen massive benefits from the 4.0 update. Thanks to the new storage solution, sales of the game's episodes have more than doubled. Given the game's episodic nature, players can now download all of the parts of the game without worrying about memory constraints.
Telltale CEO, Dan Connors proclaimed this is "a major step forward for episodic gaming."
Players can download the entire Strong Bad series, which began releasing in August 2008, for 1000 Nintendo points each via the Wii Shop Channel.
SAN RAFAEL, April 9, 2009 Telltale has announced that WiiWare sales of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, the first monthly episodic series on a console, have more than doubled since Nintendo's new storage solution was unveiled at the Game Developer's Conference in March. The Strong Bad series began releasing episodically on WiiWare in August 2008.
"Nintendo's new solution really opens the door for players to add to their collection of downloadable games, which is critical for a series with multiple installments," says Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "This is a major step forward for episodic gaming. We're looking forward to even greater success on WiiWare with Strong Bad, as well as other projects."
Like a TV series, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is best enjoyed when the full five episode "season" is played in its entirety. Nintendo's new option to play WiiWare games directly from high-density SD cards gives customers a convenient way to enjoy this full-season experience.
Starring Strong Bad, the self-proclaimed "coolest person ever," and the rest of the characters from the popular Homestarrunner.com website, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is a series of comedy games that play like interactive cartoons. Each episode features a unique storyline penned by series creators Mike and Matt Chapman and the writers of Telltale's award-winning Sam & Max series. Arcade-style mini games, achievements, and the ability to email Wii friends from Strong Bad's laptop complete the experience.
The Strong Bad games can be downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 points each. For more information on Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People on WiiWare, visit http://www.telltalegames.com/strongbad/wiiware. The series is also available for PC from Telltale's website.
With the information provided, this really isn't that big of news.
If they sold two copies before and now, suddenly, sold four copies - whoo-hooo!
It's interesting to me that they didn't any kind of useful data with this release.
With the information provided, this really isn't that big of news.Well if they were surviving and satisfied with sales since Aug. 08 - Mar 09, then they should be ecstatic that all those sales doubles in the matter of a month. They just did 8 months of sales in 1 month, which means they must be happy enough to EXPLICATIVE EXPLICATIVE Nintendo's EXPLICATIVE.

That sounds suspiciously similar to a Family Guy joke about Robot Chicken...
In any case, as Telltale Games has said they were happy with the sales of the series on WiiWare before this news this can only be a good sign of things to come on WiiWare. Maybe GOOD developers will see the service as financially viable now and will start bringing over more World of Goo-caliber games. I'd especially love for LucasArts to start bringing over their library of P&C Adventure Games (or, heaven forbid, make new ones), considering they're bringing Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis (awesome game, by the way) over via the new Wii Indiana Jones game.

When I have the money I might get these. I want to get all 5 at once, and that is $50.
