Title: Problems with Wiimote Whiteboard
Post by: Mysticspike on March 11, 2009, 10:39:24 PM
If you don't know what the Wiimote Whiteboard is, check it out:
Wiimote Whiteboard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s5EvhHy7eQ) It is really cool.
But I've been having some problems getting it set up. I have a Wiimote (obviously) and a perfect pen thing to use for the infrared. My electronics teacher showed me this at school the other day, because he got it set up, but I'm having trouble getting it to work and I think it's because I don't have a bluetooth driver. I have an bluetooth icon in the lower-right area of my computer screen, so I'm confused why I can't connect deviced to it via bluetooth. This computer even has a bluetooth device manager, so it seems like it would come with everything I need to connect the Wiimote via bluetooth. But I don't know. Any help?

You need to install some 3rd party software to get your PC to recognize the Wiimote. It uses Bluetooth, but you can't just connect it to a PC like a headset to a cellphone.

I already have all the software on here I need. I have BlueSoleil and Softboard so all I need is the bluetooth driver, which I guess I do not have. I thought I would have had an internal one because I just got this computer like a few weeks ago. So I guess now I just need an external bluetooth driver and I'm all set.
If I do get this set up, I will post a video of it on Youtube and post the link here.
