Title: Dark Sector
Post by: ShyGuy on March 11, 2009, 01:03:36 AM
So I picked up Dark Sector for the 360 today, apparently it was the first next gen game announced back in 2004. It was only $4.97 at Fred Meyer. I haven't played it yet, but I will do so now. Wish me luck!

My brother in law finished this game last week. Kinda compares to Gears of War, in a way that its third person and there is a cover system. The camera is kinda wonky though. Its too close to the character or something. You don't get to see as much of the environment as you do with Gears.

I think the controls are actually a little better than gears so far. Interesting that they make you play as a color blind person, it's very progressive of them to have the protagonist be disabled.

LULZ, I loaded up my save game and ran into a bug where my character was invisible except for his hair. I played through the level like that.

PS360 games haven't had colour for years, it's not progressive, they just finally came up with an excuse.

Dark Specter was a surprisingly good Gears of War clone. I think I got mine for $15 or so and it was worth every penny.
