Cryptic though that's the point. Most theories lead to either an iPhone or 360 title. I, as always, will just wait.

MGS2: The Triple Snakes for the 360. Dyack can even do the remake!

This is better than any joke post I thought up for this thread, so I'll just quote it and wish I said it first:

MGS2: The Triple Snakes for the 360. Dyack can even do the remake!

Actually another one came to me, after reading up on MGS4 and the bosses in that game, I want to contribute:

Metal Gear Solid 3: Wife Beater (unoriginal, I'm sure)

Sorry if the pic is too big Mods. D:

Umm...does anyone see the 2 "i"s in that? Could it be for Wii?!

Not that we care much.

I hope  the series progression is at least comparable to AC: CF and AC:WW instead of MGS3 to MGS4. Because, as well all know, the media catches on to that stuff.

Animal Crossing has more gameplay then Acts 3, 4, and five of MGS4. Acts 1 and 2 were basically the bulk of what you could do. It's like Kojima stopped caring after Act 3. Not to mention that horrible reference to Madner in the act 3 briefing, which was suppose to be a reference to Snatcher, but god knows that MGS fanboys don't give two shits about Kojima's works outside of Metal Gear.

The series basically went downhill with MGS3. MGS2 was great, you could play more of that game then MGS4. (Hated Snake's acclerated aging plot twist, considering the MGS4 ending... which sucked massively but I might get into it later... maybe.)

Duh. Now let's look for the least gamey game we can find that has more game than MGS4. Dragon's Lair? CDi Zelda? The possibilities are endless!

Hey no one said it had to be good gameplay, just gameplay. Because Superman 64 doesnt have long winded cutscenes, it beats out MGS's gameplay by default.

In that case, put Universal Studios on that list. That game has ET and shorter cutscenes!

Don't the long lines and heat take the place of any loading screens and cutscenes that keep you from having fun (ie. playing the game)

According to a supposed Famitsu scan, this is an iPhone title. Still not sure why the iPhone deserves a brand new Metal Gear title before Wii or DS.... or 360 for that matter.

Sorry, Kojima is a Nintendo hating troll, even if he fawns over some of their franchises like a pre-teen school girl.

He's too busy writing Snake X Samus fanfiction to care anymore. Yes, I went there, I couldn't resist.

This can't possibly be fun. I really hope it's not a bomb like The Force Unleashed was.

I hope it IS a bomb so Konami doesn't do something dumb like this again (yeah, I know, that's a stretch...)

Maybe this isn't a full-fledged Metal Gear. It looks like Snake's Sniper Training to me.
I want another Metal Gear Ghost Babel, for the DS.
For reals, yo. I liked how Ghost Babel was an alternate sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. None of this "let's explain the unexplainable with nanomachines" nonsense. Black Arts Viper was an awesome villain.

So all of this hype was for an iPhone game?!  Craziness!
I wonder how this will tie in with MGS4...

So I was just on Kotaku and according to them, this is exactly what I thought it'd be, except they called it Snake's Crossbow Training. Odd that Metal Gear Touch is the complete opposite of what you're encouraged to do in every other Metal Gear game (not counting Snake's revenge of course).

It's still bullsh*t that there's no Metal Gear on Wii, DS, or 360 though MGT is exactly the type of game I'd expect Konami to release on the Wii, only they'd call it Metal Gear Sports Party.

As someone who owns and loves an iPhone I have to say that I have no idea how someone could make a traditional "hardcore" action game work with the total lack of physical buttons. This will either be horrible or ridiculously simplistic or both.

It was an alternate sequel to the original Metal Gear, and it took place in 2002. From what I researched, Ghost Bable was somewhat a testing ground for some plot devices later used for MGS2. The game was directed by the same guy who made the AC!D games for PSP.

In my little own world, if Kojima fixed some of the plot mistakes in MGS3, and some in MGS4, the MGS series as of now would be more acceptable to me. The reason Kojima went to such wild lengths with the story in MGS2 was that he planned it to be his last MGS game. However, being the confused SOB he is (and the fans seriously sending death threats to him, WTF?), he decides to make another MGS game, including Raiden bashing (oh boy, Raikov...). Then MGS4 comes around and we can't help but make fun of it.

Crap, I have to say this. Ghost Babel has more gameplay and a better story then MGS4.

And so it is. My bad.

I remember reading that MGS2 was supposed to take place in the Middle East and Liquid was alive and f*cking sh*t up again... for real alive, not Ocelot nanomachines and hynotherapy alive. Maybe they could bring back that storyline, make an alternate MGS2.
As someone who owns and loves an iPhone I have to say that I have no idea how someone could make a traditional "hardcore" action game work with the total lack of physical buttons.
Guess you don't really have to worry about that anymore. Either way, if Konami put some thought into the game, they could probably come up with something better than MGT.

Even more bullshit that there's no Snake Eater on the PC, and likely no Guns of the Patriots either. PS2 emulators work fine, but I'm not so sure about the PS3 ilk... if they even exist at this point in time.

Just what I wanted, an iPhone game with Old Snake. He should've killed himself in the ending of MGS4. It's worse then that shitty wedding between Johnny and Meryl.
