Title: ANOTHER 360 pricedrop?
Post by: KDR_11k on October 25, 2008, 12:28:57 PM
Now the Pro is down to 199€, the Arcade to 149€... Didn't it just get a pricedrop a few months ago? At this rate they're going to pay YOU for getting a 360 at the end of 2009... I wonder how bad it sells...

Oh, AWESOME.  They'll pay me to have a 360, I'll have a 360, then I'll sell it to GameStop!  Thanks, non-market leader!

Arcade to 149€

Not to mention that I read something about Microsoft sending 20GB HDDs to anyone with this system if they want to be able to install the NXE (dashboard update).

For $30, not for free. You can get a free 512MB (or is it 256) Memory Unit if you have only a core system though.

Oh. Thanks for correcting me, Brandogg.

Just want to make sure no one runs out and buys an arcade thinking they'll get a free HDD. I have 2 systems, but only one HDD. My new system is an Arcade, so I might get the $30 20GB HDD, you know, cause it's only $30, and use it on my old system that I keep at work.

Okay, seems this is a time limited promotion and only for this week. Since I was considering the system I got it, now I'm trying to decide on what games to get. It's too late for EDF already (neither new nor used copies in stores) so I got a points card for now.

The "classic" game lineup seems pretty sparse, I've seen Skate for 15€ and I think there were some positive things said about that game? I haven't followed news about thesystem much so I lack a sense of which games turned out well and which ones sucked after being hyped.

Well, found EDF for 25€ online and got The Outfit for 13€ used (down from 25€, figured that risk was acceptable). Yeah, not exactly the greatest game selection but I can't find anything major for cheap and I'm not going to open with a full price game for a console that has been out for three years and should sport a good number of bargain games. Reminds me, there's a lot of RPGs for the 360, are some of them good?
