Sam & Max's point-and-click nature has allowed it translate perfectly to the Wii. I played through a portion of one of the episodes and the control was as natural as using a mouse, except for the satisfying click of the mouse button. The B button is used to run, which eliminates tedium of navigating larger environments. The game mostly involves clicking on objects in a 3-D environment, which either produce humorous commentary from the game's characters or set off an interactive dialog to progress the game's story.
The Wii version includes a couple bonuses features: a concept art section and character profiles. The concept art section shows the progression of character concept to concept art in the Sam & Max style to the final in-game design, which reveals some of the tug-of-war nature of character design.
If you haven't had a chance to play Sam & Max on PC, now's your chance to play it on Wii. The game is strong in humor and exploration, and is perfectly suited to play from the comfort of your living room or bedroom.
Anyone have a link to a Sam and Max season one clip that's funny? I adored Hit the Road as a kid, but since then, all the new Sam and Max clips I've seen are coupled with jokes that fall really flat.
