According to Caird, while developing Drawn to Life they "learned an immense amount about the DS platform" and were able to create the "engine underpinning Lock's Quest [which] is vastly improved." The team was also able to more effectively produce a challenging experience, one which "most fans" felt was lacking in Drawn to Life. Caird was proud of this achievement as it "was exactly what [he] set out to do."
Caird mentioned that if the team was to make a sequel to Lock's Quest, "Wifi multiplayer is the big [feature]" they would seek to include. "A city build mode where there [are] additional customisation options" also "might be fun to bring back for a sequel."
Finally, the interview revealed some unique insight into future projects. "We have 2 more DS titles currently in development" says Caird, "but other platforms are also on our radar … Wii is one of the front runners."
