Title: Free Radical to develop Star Wars: BattleFront
Post by: Stogi on August 28, 2008, 04:25:44 AM
According to IGN's podcast, that is. Free Radical has had a page on their site declaring they are working on a LucasArts game for a while now, but never divulged what it was. Well, there you go.....Free Radical Wii support. Maybe TimeSplitters down the line?

I've never played this game, but I've seen it before. I gave it a "Meh." The only reason I'm interested now is because of Free Radical.

I've ALWAYS been interested in these games just because I could play a stormtrooper and feel like one infantryman in a huge battle. I could play the original and its sequel for HOURS just by myself, with computer bots for everything else, on my friends' XBox. *sighs happily*

Of course, both of the first games felt like the difficulty was a little off... *shrug* Clone Trooper reporting for duty!

This is awesome fucking news. The first Battlefront game was quite enjoyable on PC and with Free Radical behind the wheel for this third one, I'm pretty confident it is going to be stellar on the Wii.

I'm also hoping for TS4 down the line. I love the TimeSplitters series and it would be a shame if it didn't make its natural progression to Wii.

Man, we heard about Free Radical developing Battlefront like...more than TWO YEARS AGO...What's taken this long for it to finally come to fruition?

We did?  Man, I don't remember hearing about this before, and I could have easily pulled a Kairon over the news and gotten yelled at by Deguello.

I'm pretty okay with this, I didn't play the first TS. But 2 and Future Perfect were freaking great games. They should just remake FP on Wii real quick since they released it at a bad time on GC.

Can't stand FR's tired old Goldeneye-for-casuals formula.

Wasn't worth it... =\

No!  I want TimeSplitters 4 developed exclusively for Wii (or at the very least as the primary SKU)...They have the multiplayer portion down-pat, but man, oh man, the single-player is garbage...
