Title: I finally bought this game
Post by: ShyGuy on August 07, 2008, 01:32:31 AM
It's been several days and I haven't even removed the shrinkwrap. My cousin wanted to try it, is it really all that?

So we finally tried it tonight. All these options are confusing, I wish there was a simple Wii-Play mode. Sub Space Emissary is really enjoyable so far. What's the best strategy for stickers?

fit as many on as possible :P

I beat the game on Normal without using any stickers at all.  So honestly just put the ones on you enjoy putting on and don't worry about, in the easier difficulties it makes little difference.

I recommend getting use out of the knock back stickers that decrease how far you fly. Also, the PK stickers for Ness and Lucas are really nice.

What's the best strategy for stickers?

Horde them away and never use them for fear that one day far in the future you might need one and you won't have it because you foolishly used (and subsequently removed) it already.

Vudu, how are you so good at searching the forums? I find the search tool horribly broken.

I don't use the search feature.  :)

The regular Friend Code thread is obviously going to be in the Friend Code forum.  It was on the first page, so it wasn't that hard to find.

I remembered that the "real" Friend Code thread was created by thatguy, so I opened up his profile, select "show the last posts of this person", and then select "view member topics".  Since we were using the term "hula-hoops" instead of "friend codes", I hit control + F and searched for the phrase "hula".  The thread came up on the first page.

I think I'm already bored with this game. Should have waited to get it used cheap.

Who have you played against?

I found the game more worthwhile after taking a one month hiatus to indulge in Mario Kart and distance myself from SSE.  When I returned, some new peeps here got the game and provided more interesting online matches.

Waiting for my room mate over the summer to get good made for some pretty good matches. Then, when I got home, playing against my friends there made for a few awesome all night sessions. I think it's just the crowd(s) you play with that make it fun.

When I first got the game I started playing as Pit because that was who I used in the tournament. In the tournment I didn't get out off the first round. So I strived to get better. When I practice I set the computer  the lowest level when I beat him I would up the difficulty till I reach and beat the highest difficulty. Then I start beating up another character. Also get to know the stages and their pitfalls. I should add that Pro has helped me immensely. So if you need help ask him.I started with Pit then expanded to Sonic and Luigi and Peach. I recently started with King DEDEDE and Metaknight. When I played Melee Peach and Luigi were my faves to use. In the original it was Pikachu and Kirby. My point is keep trying you will get better!

Everyone applauded when people chose random in the Brawl tournaments here.
