Yesterday I thanked Greg for his hard work, today I am pleased to thank Nick for the work he put into this feature.  Thanks to him, and everyone who submitted their predictions.

Shigeru Miyamoto quits and leaves for Tecmo to work on the next Ninja Gaiden game for Xbox 360.

That not funny! >=o

Nintendo will announce a pending Wii firmware update that will give all developers unlimited access to the Wii's SD Card, and also improve load times from the SD Card.

There's no need for a firmware update (unless the completely remove SD card encrypted of savegames, but that not likely), the reason why no third party's use SD for game saves is Nintendo won't release the SD KEY (http://hackmii.com/2008/04/keys-keys-keys/) that all file are encrypted when writing to the SD card.

Awww come on, not even a little bit? ;)

How about "Idagaki leaves Tecmo to make next Mario Galaxy"?
Half of it's already come true!
(gulp)
Now I'm starting to believe it could happen.

Great article guys,  its stuff like this that keeps me stuck on this site!

I've already posted my predictions in another thread but I think it makes sense to move them over here now.  That said, here are are my Nintendo E3 2008 predictions (3rd parties excluded).

What We'll Definitely See:
Pikmin Wii
Animal Crossing Wii (With a botched online system)
Wii Punch Out (Balance Board support)
Wii Music
A glimpse of a real Wii Zelda
A new Donkey Kong Country for the DS
A WiiWare game from Nintendo along the lines of Wii Sports (Bridge title)
An announcement for a new handheld way down the road
And a new IP completely out of Left Field (as in the metaphor, not the publisher who busted Nitrobike)

What We Won't See:
A Mario Galaxy Sequel
A New Super Mario Bros Sequel
A New Metriod
Giant Enemy Crabs

Hardware Announcements:
A storage solution via hardrive rather than SD card
Voice Chat that filters your voice to the voice of a robot to ensure privacy

A WiiWare game from Nintendo along the lines of Wii Sports (Bridge title)

This has got me curious. Why do you think that Nintendo would put a Wii Sports level title on WiiWare? Wii Sports 2 would sell gangbusters at retail... just look at Japan!!!

Voice Chat that filters your voice to the voice of a robot to ensure privacy

Is this based off of that strange Nintendo voice-to-text-related patent...uh...thing from ages ago?

OK, well, then, yeah, they'll do that.

Hahaha, a man after my own cynical heart.

Likely Nintendo will remove the GBA slot, slim the unit down, and make the sound better; an overall improvement of the unit.

Doubt it, that would harm sales of Guitar Hero.

Are you guys gonna do a live stream from E3 or do we have to wait till after the show?

The plan is to do nightly "podcasts."  They will be short affairs, I would guess.  Plans do change, so we'll see how this goes.

We will, of course, have constantly updating news on the site.

If you want to watch Nintendo's press conference, it will be both online and on TV.  Gamespot streams them yearly, and I believe G4 will be airing on TV.

Tuesday 12PM ET – Live on-air and online streaming, commercial free coverage of the Nintendo Press conference

Details of G4's coverage (http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/686842/G4s_Massive_E308_Coverage_Announced.html)

G4 won't cut to commercial in the middle of trailers again this year will they?

Way too conservative, sequels, sequels, sequels, game revivals, ... Those won't work with the new gamers! These predictions read like analysts: "We predict everyone to do more of what they did before"

The real show stealer will be something we cannot even fathom yet.

I wish I could remember who was who among the staff.

Doesn't that by definition mean it's unpredictable?

What do I think? I think Zach and Neal should be booted off staff.

My annual E3 script will be posted either in a few hours or tomorrow in the funhouse.

Well, yeah, that's why I find it silly to make predictions, especially when the resulting ones are just "this and that franchise are getting sequels, this cancelled game will be revived*". Oh and I really doubt Nintendo is going to have a big hardcore focus this time.

*=has that EVER happened?

Don't give G4 any ratings. They don't deserve it after what they did to TechTV!

I was planning on watching it on G4 but now I will watch it on the net.

You're only giving G4 ratings if you have a Nielson box, as long as you don't watching them doesn't help them in any way.

They most definitely will.  In fact, I wouldn't put it past them to play an episode of Cheaters during the middle of the show.

Well unlike the rest of you jokers, I don't have the option to watch it online at work.  We do, however, have cable TVs that I could watch it on.

He was likely too busy to submit his ideas.  The window for doing so was pretty small, and he's been coordinating our efforts for the show.

At one point I had a really big reach in there, but I yanked it.  I replaced it with my Tales of the Mushroom Kingdom idea, because I honestly see that coming.  My reasoning will be revealed if it happens.
