WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Haven't had much time to come to this site. And when I do, I just look around and read rather than posting.

Cleveland v Boston - 0-1

Lakers v Spurs - 1-0

I think there is maybe at NBA.com. I haven't personally tried it. The results of the game were 101 to 71.Lakers won againest the Spurs Now it is 2 games to none with the Lakers ahead as they head to San Antonio. The third game will be on Sunday.

well it's a good thing I can't watch then, since I hate the Lakers.

Well game 3 with the Lakers and Spurs the Lakers managed to get a win. The Lakers bench is pretty versatile and lots of energy as well. I think it will be Lakers vs. Celtics in the Finals.

The Lakers are going to the Finals!!! They beat the Spurs 100-92. I was worried after the first quarter they were down 17. Pau Gasol the lakers center had an off offensive game but had 17 rebounds and 3 blocks.Jordan Farmar had 8 points in 17 minutes and provided the energy and momentum the lakers needed when they were down by 17 points. The Lakers Small Forward Sasha Vuachik provided excellent defense against the opposition as well as a couple of 3 pointers. Kobe scored 39 points. The Eastern Champion hasn't been crowned Celtics are up 3-2 against the Pistons. That game is Tomorrow on ESPN.

I just checked the ABC website and they have it coming on at 8:30pm east coast time and taking that time we get 5:30 pm on the west coast.

Being a Philly fan, it's in my blood to hate both of these teams but I'm going to cheer for...boston. (please forgive me). Kobe is from here but nobody likes his pompous ass. Plus this years MVP award was out of sheer pity. Chris Paul was MVP!!!  Anyhoo, KG is the only reason I want boston to win. If he wasn't there I wouldn't want for either of them. Much like this years SuperBowl, Boston Vs. New York, eeewww!

Actually Super Bowl was great, my brother is a HUGE Patriots fan and my best friend is a HUGE Giants fan, so there was gonna be blood drawn no matter what. Needless to say my brother is now anti-sports and on a rant about how the NFL is rigged.

I'm going to say Boston in 6 games.

Title: Re: NBA Playoffs
Post by: BeautifulShy on June 06, 2008, 12:12:24 AM
I am a bit disappointed the lakers lost by 10. Paul Pierce of the Celtics got injured in the 3rd quarter but came back shortly after that and hit 2 3 pointers in a row. Also the effort of the celtics was better. The Lakers had the game up till Pierce's return. The Lakers didn't shoot the ball well in the 4th quarter. Celtics are up 1-0 with game 2 in Boston on Sunday at the same time as todays game.
Title: Re: NBA Playoffs
Post by: BeautifulShy on June 09, 2008, 12:06:55 AM
I hate when the game is close and you lose. The Celtics were up 24 with 7:40 left the Lakers went to decrease it to 4 points with 1:06 left to play the celtics hit 2 free throws. There was 22.4 seconds left Radmonovic got a 3 blocked by Paul Pierce. The lakers missed the 2 3 pointers that they took. The Final was 106-100 Celtics.Game 3 is in LA on Tuesday 5:30 pm pacific time.

Ok the next 3 games are at LA so hopefully the Lakers can win 3 in a row after that if necessary, the following 2 games are in Boston so if they manage to get 3 in a row the Lakers have to win away from home court.I think the x factor is Boston's crowd they have to find a way to take them out of it.

Not a Boston fan but even less of a Lakers fan so now I only want the Lakers to lose. Lose, Lose, Lose.

Damn it, we just turned the Directv back on yesterday and now the NBA is still on ABC and directv does not offer ABC in our area. So We can't win.

I got back after the game was over. So I looked online for the results and I found a site called myhubtv.com The picture quality isn't that good but you can make out the game. The final for this game was 87-81 Lakers. Kobe had 36 points.

I watched it. Pretty sad day for Paul Pierce. Still close though.....closer than the lakers would have hoped. Low scoring as well.

well this was the first game I got to watch in over a month, and dammit the Lakers won. Turns out we do get ABC, but terrible reception. We went and bought a powered antenna so it would come it better and that made all the difference. Stupid Directv for not having it in our area though.

Darn it what the heck happened in that 3rd quarter. The Lakers had a 24 point lead and the Celtics went on a 21-3 run. As I am sure you can tell from my reaction the Lakers lost. The Celtics are up 3-1. Game 5 is on the 15th at 6:00pm pacific time.

Indeed, the most exciting thing in the series is the talk of Tim Donagues accusation of the NBA rigging past playoff games.

I didn't watch the entire game just the 4th quarter. It was close but the Lakers won 103-98. Paul Pierce had 38 points but thankfully that wasn't enough. That steal by Kobe in the fourth was key in the victory. Kobe had 24 points I believe. Game 6 is on Tuesday at 6:00 pm Pacific time.

its a blowout, reverse alleyoup, 39 point record setting win for the Celtics against the Lakers.

I expected the Lakers to put up more of a fight.

I expected them to put up a fight as well.:(
Well I think that Rajon Rondo had a excellent game he had 21 points and had 6 steals.Ray Allen tied a Finals record with 7 3 pointers. He is tied with Robert Horry one of his teammates.
What do you think the Lakers need to do to bounce back?

They need a center who's not afraid to get physical.  Gasol plays like a Puss in Boots.
