Title: Pokemon D/P question

I had Pearl, and got Diamond a little while ago. I placed a Piplup on the GTS to trade from my Pearl to my Diamond, but it won't come up when I search for it. I tried putting a Golblat up to trade from my diamond version and asked for a Piplup, but then when I searched while on my Pearl version it also didn't come up. I don't understand. Am I not allowed to trade with myself even though I have both versions?

No, I checked and they are both still there. But when I try to search for them they don't come up.

How come you wanted to use the GTS to trade with yourself? You probably should have used the DS to DS method instead. Is Piplup and Golbat recorded in your Pokedex in both games? If your Pokedex in Diamond doesn't have an entry for Piplup or Golbat, you can't search for it. I had the same problem trying to get Eevee or its' evolutions because I don't have the National Pokedex in either of my versions (I have both Diamond and Pearl).

I'm so gunna look for a Piplup and trade away a Golbat now.
