You guys have a restricted and regulated the Smash Brothers series to the point where you have downplayed the skills required to be great in all circumstances(all items and all stages) and virtually eliminated the opportunity for those who could be great in all circumstances to prove their ability(tournaments don't allow for all circumstances). As well as wildly lowered the incentive to train and become great in all circumstances.
Imposing your will on the community(the rules and regulation) have created nothing but a community largely consisting of smug, snobby, elitist pussies of Smash Brothers players.
Stop worrying about "fairness" and "leveling the playing field" and start creating the best Super Smash Brothers players EVER.

The typical amerikan doesn't remember the basic details about the July 4th holiday (original year, purpose, place, who were involved, etc)
Don't expect them to identify the authors of the Fed Papers in portraits.
Oh I hope Bill doesn't think I think he is ignorant or anything. The Fed Papers are just an interest of mine, I find that first paragraph to be beautifully written. So Bill I didn't mean for you to take that as any jab at your knowledge.

Nah, I wouldn't got that far. That would be like only allowing them to use one character, one staged and no items. Plus you can still trip randomly. OH NOES!

There is a good question, if we are turning down randomness, why not force everyone to be the same character, as you mentioned? Then there is no randomness and the skill is perfectly equal, regardless of the stage you play on. Time to change the tourney rules!

LOL Their rebuttals are ridiculous. They keep changing the argument and some even ask about real fights-to-the-death with you as if that is somehow relevant. They also keep bringing up tournaments as if that was the intended purpose of the game.
To put this in perspective, OTHER fighting games' tournaments do not ban any fighter or stage.

In other fighting games all stages are the same with different graphics :P
These people aren't playing Smash Bros, they're playing Super Smash Fighter II Turbo.

Just like NASCAR. Everyone will just watch for the crashes which in this case would be fights and say they don't.

Trolling at Smash Boards is a waste of time. This was funny, but I feel like the effort was wasted on the internet equivalent of nuclear testing grounds. Still, we should take this approach to a better board about a different topic. I'll post again if I think of an awesome place.
