Title: I'm taking a survey about forum bugs
Post by: S-U-P-E-R on January 24, 2008, 07:13:42 AM
I want to know if any of this has happened to you:
- threads being marked as having new posts forever - trying to post a thread or reply, and having it post blank - the forum demanding a date parameter for anything (pretty sure this is happening to everyone on the search, etc) - anything else

I'm getting the date parameter when searching. I've also been logged out a couple times in the past week (I never log out) but I think it's only happened when switching servers.
I was getting problems where the forums would show there were new posts but when I viewed the thread there weren't any (and vice versa) but that hasn't happened in about a week.

The search date thing did happen to me.
The issue I have is that whenever I log in on a computer that I don't have auto-login on, the new posts vanish.

Occasionally I'll get an error that looks like this.

That was probably a cookie issue, if I was to guess, which would definitely pertain to the URL (DNS down) that the forums was hosted on, which was different temporarily as a result of the server change.
EDIT: I also have been getting the error Wandering gets on occasion.

When I have my posts per page set at 20 the last post I can see in this thread is the one by ThePerm on 1/17/2007 (...Jengo fett). However, when I change the posts to per page to 100 I can view the half dozen messages that have been posted since then.

When you quote people, extra spaces are added. Observe:

Also, I should say that every problem listed in the OP has happened to me, except the one about replies turning up blank.

Well, this is the first time I've seen this happen, but bosshogx's post in the Friend Codes forum is perpetually new. So is my last post in the official Smash Bros. update discussion, although that one only shows up as new when I'm actually in that forum.
