Title: Harvey Birdman
Post by: Kairon on January 21, 2008, 08:47:13 AM
Bought it. Played it. 3 Hours. Done.

...this game isn't actually bad, but it DOES make you appreciate Phoenix Wright a lot more because the execution of the formula is vastly inferior to what you get in the Ace Attorney Series.

I read the reviews and all signs point to it being a rental.

Three hours? is that skipping the cut scenes or something?

3-4 hours total, I figure. The game can move at a lightning pace when you figure out what to do, there's not as much exploration as Phoenix Wright, and there's not as much text either. Playing this game is like... wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am.

What the hell? Phoenix Wright has like 5 times the content then..

Phoenix Wright seems to have "5 times" the content, I think that the voiced dialogue in Harvey Birdman seems to cut down on alot of wasted time in comparison to when reading the slow text speed present in the Phoenix Wright games.

I don't know about you, but I think I read faster than most voiced dialog is spoken.

I've heard you are better off getting stuff wrong just so you can see another cut scene.  The real challenge in this game is seeing all those cuts scenes and letting the hilarity ensue.
