OK, with that aside all I have to say is that I am used to playing games late, so this doesn't affect me that much.
But if a third delay happens, however, I'll be annoyed.

Oops, I meant to say fourth.
The first delay (back when Brawl was announced as a launch title) I didn't mind because there was no way that Sakurai could have made the game in a year. The second delay I was upset at but accepted it as Galaxy needed some space. This delay I am willing to accept because I am completely broke and can't afford it.

If Nintendo and Sakurai expected the game to be delayed multiple times, they could've just given Brawl a vague placeholder date and announce the date when they were SURE it was done.
Hell, most publishers do that already! They don't announce a date till they know its ready. So if it was delayed, it wouldn't be annoying since it didn't have a set date to begin with.
It would be like the girlfriend or boyfriend who promises you to go out on a date on Friday and after waiting all night he or she calls to tell you that something happened and couldn't make it.
Eventually, the person gets annoyed, no matter how big their patience is.
So if Brawl gets delayed AGAIN it would be annoying fans even further.

All kidding aside, seriously, this ain't NOTHING like the N64 delays. This is for just a month. I remember those delays were months and ever year long!
Besides, this is a rare occurrence nowadays. Metroid Prime 3 arrived on time, so did Mario Galaxy.

This is technically the second delay. I mentioned the "first" delay being the time when Brawl was promised as a Wii launch title, but that really doesn't count because it was IMPOSSIBLE for Sakurai to have the game done in a year.

Wormhead is right, although unlike the N64 delays this delay has little to nothing to do with improving the game.

I seriously doubt that unless MM is exclusive to NA. A one week delay is hardly anything.

I am not saying that Mega Man is a NA exclusive, but they could have added him earlier than now , and it is just that adding him may be taking a little longer than they first thought.
As for why a week delay in Japan turns into a month in NA; perhaps the distribution, manufacturing, marketing, and retailing schedules and cycles do not again converge properly for a game of Smash Bros. popularity until March 9th.

Well I can deal with that, it is critical to have this game working perfectly online from the starting gate because Nintendo has a ton of catching up to do in the online market, and the only game that will put them on the board is SSBB. Like I said in the daily update thread, as long as I find out the whole roster when this game launches in Japan (or earlier) I'll be very happy. I can deal with waiting to actually play the game, I have plenty in the back catalog to complete. What I can barely deal with is waiting to find out the final roster. I'm dying to see who made the cut from Melee and who we haven't heard about yet in the way of new characters. Just 16 more days (hopefully at the most) until we know all there is to know!
