Title: NWR 2007 Forum Choice Awards
Post by: BlackNMild2k1 on December 24, 2007, 06:19:40 PM
I think we should all band together and come up with categories that pertain to to gaming, the forums, and the site in general. I'm not sure if this should be here or in General Chat or the Funhouse, but it really depends on what direction you all want to take this.
Lets start with the Main Categories:

Dojo Update : Best Multiplayer Game: Best Online Game:
Forum:
Mod of the year: Thread of the year: Poster of the year: Best new Poster: Poster you wish wasn't banned: Poster you wish was banned: Avatar of the year: Signature of the year: Post of the year: Most quotable poster: Poster that wouldn't stop posting: Biggest debate of the year: Funniest poster: Most random poster: Biggest/Best Game of mafia: Best Mafia Host: Biggest Bump (Hosted by UncleBob?): Forum Member you Love to Hate: Forum Member you Hate to Love: Best NWR/Forum event of the Year Worst NWR/Forum Event of the Year
Site:

Even if they try to make this into a joke no one wants to be labeled "the biggest douche of 2007", whether the person deserved it or not.

I knew gaming and Forum would be the bigger topics, but I never visit the main site so does anyone have anything to add there?
Also I think we should all vote on something for these categories at some point(b4 the New Years Eve - by Fri Dec. 28th at the latest) and then stick Crimm with the Award ceremony duties as his last standing act as NWR Community Manager.

Ah, come on. We could use a couple of negative ones. Maybe biggest douche is a little harsh, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed to poke fun.
Trust me, it'll be fun/hilarious.

As long as its light and in good fun I'm fine with it.
The reason I bring it up us because back on another forum that I frequent to we would do the "forum user" awards and it always ended in some sort of debate and with the crap hitting the fan because some of the members took their awards a little too seriously and some would use it as an excuse to bash and ridicule the other members.
How about "Member you love to hate"?

I just brought it up, but didn't have any plans on actually running or organizing it. I don't have that kind of time on a normal basis.
