Looking at the previous post, I would be willing to bet it was actually a bot that auto-registered and then spammed away. Doing a google search on the username and one of the products turns up about 543 results, and there were probably many more before those were deleted like this one.

Spam is almost never done manually since that's too expensive. You can be pretty damn sure these are bots. The forum needs better anti-bot measures. A measure I've seen was the Spring forum's "can't post URLs until you have a certain number of posts". It blocks the post, doesn't just filter the links out. That way the bot can't make the required post count.
