Title: PSP Star Wars Commerical
Post by: Mashiro on October 17, 2007, 05:30:45 PM: Does anyone else want to just punch the guy in the face commenting on the game? I know I do.

I only bring this up because the commercial plays like ever commercial break on every channel and it just drives me nuts.

Sony heres a hint about marketing. If your commercials show an annoying stalker following you around because you bought a PSP and then annoys you to death about it, it won't lead to sales.

The annoying guy, the failure to mention it's a new PSP model with faster loading and a lighter weight, or the horrendous visible slowdown in the Star Wars game the guy's playing. At any rate, it's one of the worst PSP commercials that include games, so it's probably better than half of all PSP commercials.

I would very much like to punch that guy in the face. He was in a previous PSP commercial I don't know why the hell they brought him back that commercial could not have made people want a PSP. Evidently by the commercial Sony thinks Star Wars memoribilia will sell better then an upgraded PSP.

Like their Adult Swim ripoff "It's like a _____ you can _____ outside" ads, or that fake blog filled with nonsensical l33t-speak. (Nonsensical even by l33t-speak standards.)

These ads seem more focused on trying to make it seem like owning a PSP will make you cool, rather than trying to convince you that it's a great system.

It's awful and annoying. And here I thought Nintendo sucked at marketing... That commercial makes me not want a PSP and I was all but ready to shell out $200 for the Daxter pack since Castlevania is coming out next week then God of War next year.

I bet that guy got his ass kicked for following that dude in the elevator home to watch him play with his PSP. Well, that or a restraining order...
