Nintendo Co. Ltd. held a small media conference in Japan today which has yielded a number of major announcements and plenty of rumors. Nintendo World Report is working hard to sift through all the information, and we'll be adding more information to this article as we obtain reliable confirmation on each announcement.
Capcom's website has confirmed that Monster Hunter 3 will be released on Wii. The Monster Hunter series is a massive hit in Japan, selling millions of games on PS2 and PSP. This is the first entry in the series to arrive on a Nintendo platform.
Famitsu's coverage of the event confirms that the WiiWare downloadable game service will launch March 2008 in Japan.
Square has launched a teaser site for a new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game that will be available exclusively as a download from WiiWare. The subtitle translates to "The Little King and the Promised Land". Famitsu has more information on the game, including a price point (1500 Wii Points, or $15 USD) and the first screenshots.
Hudson has confirmed three WiiWare games: Star Soldier R (a Wii version of the long-running shooter series), Joysound (a karaoke that uses a USB microphone), and a new Bomberman title.
Bandai/Namco has confirmed a WiiWare game called Mojipittan.

This morning's update on the Wii yielded me with a balance of 400+ blocks left. With WiiWare titles being released coupled with Neo Geo's arrival, we're going to need more space.
