Today I preordered the Uber Special Edition of Halo 3 with the replica helmet for $130.

It depends. Is the helmet going to be worn by a pet, stuffed animal, or statue of some sort?

Yeah, but I can't help it, anytime it something shiney or neat I am compelled to buy it. Whether it be Big Brain Academy for Wii with a cool Wiimote key chain, or Halo 3 with a shiny helmet. Heck I wouldn't have even payed $50 for Alien Syndrome if it came with a cool action figure or something shiny!

I wish Nintendo would make such special editions with their games, specially in regards to Metroid.

There was the gold cartridge of Zelda: OOT, and I think they gave OOT Master Quest with Wind Waker (I think Majora too but I don't remember).

The offer for wind waker was if you pre-ordered the game you got a disc with OoT and OoT master quest on it =)

Yep that is it, sadly Nintendo hasn't done something cool like that since Wind Waker!

I remember hoping that Twilight Princess would come in like. I dunno. A wooden case. Or even just a disposable sleave with the barcode and other misc rubbish on it as to not tain it's glory.

I'm gonna be completely honest, when GoldenPhoenix first started posting, I thought she was a plant for EA or MS and started stalking the hell out of her in hopes of gaining some lols.

I think she's been an MS plant.  Then she grew into an MS tree.  One day, we're going to have to chop her down, and then we can make Louie's litter box out of her.

I think SUPER is a Sony plant because he keeps closing great threads like Smash Brothers.
