The environments are in 3D, or at least the buildings are, but it's played from the traditional overhead 2D perspective. I just wonder if you're going to actually be able to manipulate the camera perspective as you can obviously see is going on in some of the screens.

It looks nice! I really want to play this version now, even though I still have (and am even playing) the original.

wow... I never got to play the original (though a friend of mine had it), my second NES broke shortly after DQ3 came out and I got fed up and bought a Genesis. I'd love to see 1-3 tossed onto a GBA cartridge or something too. I mean, I have the GBC versions, but those don't work on a DS.
