Title: GBA SP charged overnight?
Post by: Zschokke24 on March 23, 2003, 07:08:56 AM
Is it safe for a GBA SP to be charged overnight? would it overcharge? would it overheat? or does it stop charging when its full?

I left mine plugged in last night, when it was charging the light was a amber color. I woke up and there was no light on so I guess it just stops charging when it's full. I assume it's safe to do, and couldn't really overheat or anything.

Yes, the SP has an automatic shut-off so that it doesn't overcharge.

Really troubling thought if it would explode orsomething. Especially when you're playing while youre charching.

I don't intend to sound mean or anything, but it does say this in the manual.

The SP won't overcharge, think of the battery like a notebook computer one... those won't overcharge even if plugged in all the time.
