GameFAQs hasn't been what it was for a long, long time.

I don't know what you're talking about. I go to GameFAQS for help on a game and I generally get it pretty quickly either via a FAQ or via the message boards. If you go there for any other reason (other than maybe the daily poll) there's something wrong with you.

GameFAQs is great for the FAQs. However, the message boards have deteriorated to the point where they're almost not worth visiting. The advertising on the site has weighed it down so much, not to mention the pop-ups that I oh-so hate. Add to that the fact that the site used to be so streamlined (some would call the old message boards "bare bones") and now it's got so much ugly filler all over the place...
But, on the bright side, I'll be at 2000 Karma in three days or so...

Oh, please no...
I'm telling you, when I was young and naive, I never thought God would forsake a website, of all things.
But then I visited the GameFAQ forums.

The message boards on GFAQs are pretty retarded a lot of the time. The whole merging with CNET thing was a big cause of problems. I think the users are the biggest problems. Everyone has too much of a sense of entitlement there, when really no one should have had one at all. I think the best thing to come out of the site is probably LUE now, just because they can really do damage nowadays, like, I don't know, leak a book that had a defense budget of millions onto the internet a week before hand. That kind of stuff.
