I don't get it. Why would Warren sell his new studio to Disney?

Why wouldn't he sell himself to Disney? That's some sure funding and easy access to expensive licenses.

I thought Spectre looked weird, but that's how IGN was spelling it.
Obviously it was for money, but Disney seems like an odd partner, and being outright bought seems rather extreme. I wonder if he'll just leave and start up another new studio in a few years after making some money, or if something deeper involved in this deal.
