Tell her she doesn't have to buy one, that if she just buries a shirt or something underground and waits for rain, digging it up afterwards, one of those things should be in its place.  Seriously, it reminds me of one of those Animal Crossing Gizmos, or whatever there were called.

Describe it a little, it intrigues me.

$189.00 for that rabbit. And what does it do again?

EDIT: I watched the YouTube video. I had the urge to buy one while watching it, but shook the feeling off when I realized it may be brainwashing me. There's got to be some subliminal messaging in that thing...

On ThinkGeek

The Nabaztag and its predecessor the Nabaztag/tag are wi-fi enable bunnies.  They have the ability to do things like read mail to you, rss feeds, and like all over Wi-fi.  The tag has a belly button which it uses to listen and "smell".  With special tags the tag can identify things around it.  You may put one on your keys and then when you get home it will greet you.  Maybe tag a book and then it will "read" it to you when you you wave it by.  You can also program them to do different things.

Another thing you can possibly do is "marry" two together and when one moves it ear the other will as well.  Plus I think you can talk through them to each other.
