Title: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailer
Post by: Nile Boogie on May 30, 2007, 08:36:09 AM
Between IIClones and IIISith!

Looks like a fleshed out version of the shorts that was played on Cartoon Network a few years ago.

Ugg. When will Lucas learn that CGI and Star Wars don't mix?

Looks great to me, hence the reason for this thread. But I digress, I'm a fan of most things STAR WARS including ALL THREE PREQUELS and the original clone wars series. On top of that, there is a LIVE ACTION SHOW in the works. I'm pleased punch!

ok, finally saw the trailer to this cgi garbage. -- I'd rather watch the Donkey Kong CG cartoon.

And the video quality crap.  Broadband + Lucasfilm tech + industrial light and phail = awful online video?  way to go

CN's Clone Wars is the only Star Wars feature i'll own.

This may sound meaner and hateful then I really mean it to, but I can't wait for Lucas to die so someone with an idea of what a Star Wars movie should be can make more Star Wars flicks.

And I liked Samurai Jack: Clone Wars.

George Lucas is a great visionary.... but a terrible filmmaker. His hard-on for special effects came before everything else.

I'm not a fan of the design choices in the CGI Clone Wars. I think a bigger problem could be the absence of Genndy Tartakovsky's direction. I admit I'm biased because he created Dexter's Lab.

So basically... Let's take a totally awesome series of animated shorts, turn them 3D, but keep the style so it looks like crap, and make it fail by removing Genndy Tartakovsky as the director.
