Title: Nodame Cantabile: Worthy import for Ouendan fans?
Post by: Kairon on May 17, 2007, 09:38:09 PM
So I KNOW I'm gonna import Ouendan 2, but I just found out about this clone called Nodame Cantabile which is pretty much the same thing, but with classical music! Anyone hear anything about this game or happen across any import reviews aside from the one I linked above?
Oh, and apparently it's based off of a girl's Manga...
Quote Nodame Cantabile is a girls' manga that's quite popular in Japan right now, starring a girl named Nodame who's majoring in classical music. Since it's popular, there's lots of spinoff products -- an anime, eight-CD sets of classical music branded with the logo, and of course there's a Nintendo DS game that's been selling quite well.

My roommate keeps talking about the anime. I'll watch for the game and get it if it's a bargain since you posted about it

I just watched a video of someone playing this game, it seems pretty cool, and I at least can endure that kind of music instead of the horrible songs used on EBA, so yeah, someone should publish this game in North-America.

I saw it for way cheap today so I bought it! I guess maybe I could review it.

I have heard from friends that it doesn't live up to the anime and has pretty shallow gameplay. However the game is good for a short while.
