Nintendo has partnered up with the UK arm of Coca-Cola to give Sprite, Dr. Pepper and Fanta drinkers in Great Britain the opportunity to win an "Ultimate Wii Game Room" that includes a Wii with Wii Sports, an LCD TV, a mini fridge and a few cases of soda. 10 of these packages will be given away every day from May 14 until the beginning of July. Codes found on bottles and cans can be entered on the contest website, getupandplay.co.uk.
The contest is part of a £2 million ($4 million) campaign marks the first time Nintendo has used a major food brand to promote its products in Europe. Ben Taylor, who is a promotions manager at Nintendo UK, says the program is to build on the momentum of the Wii launch in Europe last Decemeber, and to also "show the human side of gaming."
