Majesco fell on hard times after releasing several critically-acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful titles, most notably the cult favorite Psychonauts. They have since refocused on more mainstream budget titles such as Cooking Mama for DS and Bust-A-Move Bash for Wii, in hopes of generating higher sales.

I'd buy a Psychonauts if it came out on Wii.

I would have bought it if it came out of Gamecube, too.

I think this, along with today's Spectrobes story, shows that the marketing of a game is just as, if not more important than, the quality of the game. Disney really got the word out about Spectrobes. I'm not sure exactly how they did it, but it looks like they really hit their target audience. It goes to show that a decent game with great marketing will easily outsell a great game with decent marketing (like Psychonauts, although saying that Psychonauts had "decent" marketing is likely being generous).
