Nintendo should have made a sequel to Kid Icarus in 1989, it would have been the perfect time for it. Also, Luigi should have been in Mario 64.

Earthbound 2 released in the US.

Why has there never been a proper sequel to Mario Bros? Not Super Mario Bros, just Mario Bros. I think the only other place we have seen those crabs is a cameo in Mario Tennis.

Technically, Mario Clash on the Virtual Boy was almost a sequel to Mario Bros. (it featured similar gameplay mechanics, but took place in a 3D universe).

OK, now this might sound like a crazy idea but I think it has potential. You know in Donkey Kong, you had to keep chasing the gorilla up and up the tower. Well, what if they finally make a sequel but this time you have to chase the gorilla down and down a mining shaft? And what if Mario is kidnapped this time and Pauline has to save him? And the game also comes with motion control and a virtual world headset? Awesome, right?

Naah, they should have made a sequel where Mario gets moves like a backflip and handstand jump, Donkey Kong appears only in every fourth level and Mario has to bring a key to a door which usually involves some puzzle when DK isn't there.

I think Nintendo should make a Virtual Boy 2. Like the original, some gimmick should substitute for good graphics, and it should have a pack-in tennis game.

They weren't dated for a 'portable' system...but then, it wasn't really portable. For a home console released five years after the SNES, yes, I'd say the graphics were a tad dated.
....But all my elementary school friends still thought the VB was the raddest thing ever.

I don't think so. There's a huge difference between Mario's Tennis and Hotel Mario - namely, Mario's Tennis was made by Nintendo, and doesn't suck.
