Title: Did you know Apple computers are incredibly durable?

Some guy THREW UP like, the vomit, on my ibook. But it still works. I ripped the keyboard off and took it in the shower and that washed the vomit out.
But well, actually I can't figure out how to reinsert the connector ribbon properly, so I'm using an eexternal keyboard for now.

I was hoping to here about dropping and the like. I had a 1980's Tandy portable word processor that I called dinosaur. I was a kid then. I dropped the thing all the time. Didn't even phase it. Still works to this day.

They survive dropping too. My friend had his cartwheel across the ground once and it works fine, case is barely scratched.

Based on an experience a friend of mine had, the only way you can damage an Apple computer is to take it to a dessert on the other side of the world. Supposedly his computer busted after traveling with it overseas.
He's a friend of S_B's as well, so he might know what I am talking about.

It took the desert heat of Iraq to give the powerbook overheating issues, yeah.

In other words, the only way you can truly damage an Apple computer is to take it to a part in the world where the conditions are extremely abnormal.

I've always found their customer service to be exceptional.
Then again, I haven't needed customer service for a Mac product in 4-5 years.

I was about to point out that you did send an old laptop to the Apple store in your area back in 2005, but realized that the reason you sent it there was because you meddled with it, it wasn't because the computer itself broke down.

My friends that owned Mac Laptops have had: Screens day on both of theirs, One the new Macbook pro and his older one, we had 3 servers that power supplies cremated themselves after just a power outage, 1 Video card go out, 2 Laptop Main boards go out, 1 server we had to replace the video card in. Thats for 4 people and a total of 10 machines between them.
My personal experience leads me to believe that they are just as reliable as a normal computer and worse for the laptops. I just seem to be a magnet for the special case with Macs it seems.

Yeah, I took it apart and f*cked with it.
My new laptop (the Macbook Pro) hasn't had any problems yet.
