Title: I am not a slave to the corporate machine
Post by: wandering on February 21, 2007, 06:53:39 PM
I may not be able to control the fact that branding permeates every aspect of my daily life. Corporate logos and trademarks surround me, demanding my unswerving allegiance. Every time I boot up my Gameboy, I am marketed to - I am told by a carefully focus-tested logo that Gameplay belongs to me, and I to it. But there is one thing I can control: how I spell "Gameboy" on internet forums.

And I spell it Gameboy.

Gameboy. Gameboy. Gameboy. GAMEBOY.

And I'll be damned if I'm going to let someone tell me I must spell it otherwise.

Actually, it's two words.   Game Boy.  It's a fairly common mistake.

The GameBoy is obsolete; who cares how you spell it anymore?
