When I try to connect my Wii to the Shop Channel it frequently times out. When it does connect it can sometimes take several minutes. Oftentimes, the connection will cut out after it makes the initial connection.
I've heard that switching the router's channel to 11 can greatly improve performance (not sure why). I tried going into the setup page (http://192.168.0.1/) only to find that for some reason the only wireless channel available to select is 6. I'm not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place or if my router just sucks.
Any help?

Wow, I have the same router as you... and the same problem.
I generally just do a hard reset on the Wii, and then several more shut downs before it finally connects and lets me do stuff. Hopefully there is a easier solution out there. Oddly, I never had any problems with my DS and the router.

Neither have I. In fact, my DS is the reason I have this router. I used to use a DI-514 but had to upgrade once I got Mario Kart (which I played online approximately three times).

What revision do you have, and does it have the latest firmware?

Revision C, firmware version 2.42 from March of 2004. Yeah ... I should probably check to see if there's an update available.

I'm running the latest Firmware, and changing the channel settings to 10, for me, lets the Wii work like a dream so far. I tried 1, 6, and 11 prior, which are the suggested channels, but 10 seemed to do the trick for me.

How do you change the channel? Is I said previously, I go to where I think the option should be (under the setup page through IE), but the drop down menu only shows one option--6.

You'll need a more recent firmware to change the channel, not sure which one added the option.
Here is the latest firmware for revision C (which is also what I have):

Thanks!
I updated my firmware and things seem to be working much better. I connected to the Shop Channel in like 20 seconds and was browsing through pages at the speed of light (or at least close enough for government purposes).
Question: What the heck is Super G Mode? I didn't have that as an option before. Right now I have it set to Super G without Turbo and Auto Select Channel. I also have an option for Super G with Dynamic Turbo but that only operates in Channel 6.
