Title: Any idea on a US Release for DS Browser?
Post by: Koekoenutt on January 29, 2007, 07:38:35 PM
Wasn't sure if this thread was anyone else, but I tried looking in the DS/Gameboy section for it and didn't find anything. I just saw a video today about the Nintendo DS Browser, I think it was a commercial for Japan actually, and was wondering if there has been any word on the US release? I tried checking a few retail sites but I couldn't find anything out. Is the internet browser already out for Europe and Japan? I wasn't sure if I should link the website, since the video is kind of buggy on my browser (Firefox) and its from spikedhumor.com which tends to have pop-ups and I personally don't like the website. Anyone who hasn't it seen it, I will look for it on YouTube.com or I can just link it here.

Edit: Here is the YouTube Link of the video. Noticed it is from Japan, so don't know if this is old news/video for you guys. Sorry if it is.

Just came out in Europe and Australia the other week. It's waaaaay too overpriced though. I'm not sure if Nintendo America's confirmed a release or not, but it'd be silly not to.

I would ignore it if i were u.  It costs a lot and it is slow from what i hear.  Sure it is a cheaper route to go then say buying a laptop but still...just don't buy it.

I don't think I would buy it but I would definatly like to try it.  IGN says it's really slow.  I'm thinking that part of the speed problem could be the internet connection. I have opera-mini on my cell phone and it's pretty fast. It's about the same speed as my Wii browser with wireless connection.
