Title: For the non believers; New channel to house indie and new VC games

I know some of you personally don't believe that Nintendo will support original VC games and say that it will not likely happen or if it does it will be ill conceived and supported poorly (I'm looking at you, Mantidor!). Well, this is the official confirmation that not only is Nintendo supporting original content for the VC they might be making a brand new channel to house all of the indie games downloaded on the Wii shop.

They say Wii Shop, not Virtual Console. Seems they agree that the VC is for emulated games and original games need a separate category.

I wonder what size limitations (MB wise) are on the original titles.

Not to be a dick, but this could have just as easily gone into the  Original VC content thread.

The virtual console as I understand it is like Xbox Live, it's what Nintendo calls their online system for downloading games. Stop nitpicking for goodness sakes, and vudu is right, but i'm with you pap.

My bad. I thought no one had posted about original VC content. I've only read the posts about how it will never happen.

I am very intrigued.  Any idea on whether or not it'll still require a development kit?

Hm, while reading about the internet channel I realized that other news services(including more local ones) could develop their own channels though the Original Content system.  

My Dad would love to have a channel devoted to the Drudge Report.

No. Virtual Console refers to legacy games which is why the WiiShop has different categories (and the article mention the prospect of there being a new one).

snore..... this is just rephrasing old info.  

I still hope they reorganize VC so that each game isn't taking up a whole channel.  I'm spilling into the second page now.
