Title: I need a Nintendo poster.
Post by: UncleBob on January 10, 2007, 02:05:18 PM
Okay, as I mentioned in my other post, we just got our house.
For "my" room (which will have all the video game goodies), I want a poster.
I want it Nintendo-themed in some way or another, but I don't want it specific to any particular game (although it could be franchise-specific, if it was a "big" franchise).
I also don't want it to be all advertize-ish - though if it looks cool, I might not be against that.
I *don't* want just a huge Nintendo logo. In fact, I wouldn't be too upset if there were no "logos" (Nintendo, system logo, etc) on it at all.
Anyone know anything?

I think the 200th issue of Nintendo Power (the one with Resident Evil: Deadly Silence on it) has a big fan-made poster that has several Nintendo characters running, it looks kinda neat. Somehow I got two copies of the issue but the one problem that I have is that it's folded, so there will always be these creases along it. I don't know if there's an unfolded one available anywhere.
The Jan. 2007 Nintendo Power has a Player's Poll contest where you can win an exclusive, framed copy of the Twilight Princess poster art signed by Aonuma. It looks really cool. The same issue has a similar poster folded in there, but then you have to contend with creases. The big, signed, framed one would be HAWT to win though.

Just use that VC promo pic that was floating around a while ago. I'm sure Kinko's will print it up nice and big for you.

I believe this is what JonLeung was referring to about the fan made one, its made by J. Scott Campbell. Incidentally this future Comic Book Artist first publication would be in Nintendo Power at age 15. He is mainly known for Danger Girl and the Gen13 Comics, and has worked on Spiderman too.

I post about Nintendo, oh wait.
You should get a cheap poster frame at Walmart, class it up a little bit.
