Title: Game Cube has horrible picture on my TV
Post by: Newtothis on December 26, 2006, 04:08:42 AM
I just got a game cube and it has a horrible picture on my TV. It is a 5 year old rear project 50" set. It still has a great picture and has worked great with DVD's.
Any suggestions???
Thanks!!!!!!

Do you have component cable compatibility (red, green and blue)? If so, you'd probably want to get some Component Cables. If not, then look into getting some S-Video cables.

You should've gotten a PS2 instead of a lamecube. Or better yet, a PS3...but those are pretty hard to find right now since there's so much demand.
Or you could just do what IceCold said. But I'm not sure the Gaycube even has enough power to produce a good picture. It only has like 2 kb of ram, lol.

Like what IceCold said, check to see what connections your TV has. I assume you're using the RCA cables that came in the box, and that might be the problem, as while it OK for small TVs, bigger screens like yours will probably make the difference much more apparent.
Generally, the path from best-to-worst goes Component Cables (Red, Green, Blue), S-Video (larger black plug), and RCA (Yellow). For a big screen like yours, Component would be generally the way to go, IMHO.
And ignore Wandering's advice.
